
Team Member: Guest Services Attendant
Department: Golf Operations
Reports to: Golf Operations Manager and or Manager on Duty (MOD)
Works With: Assistant Golf Professional, Pro Shop Attendants, Golf Operations Team
While this outline attempts to be all encompassing, this position is expected to evolve beyond these categories. This role is expected to anticipate customer needs and make suggestions for improvement of the day-to-day operation on an ongoing basis. The role is expected to do anything and everything that will help the Golf Operations department accomplish its objectives.
GENERAL PURPOSE: Creates a positive experience by assisting guests and members with outside services.
EXPECTATIONS OF OUR TEAM MEMBER:
- Know our department’s minimum standards.
- To be able to inform members and guest of the resort amenities.
- Proactive communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Proactively greet and welcome all members and guests to Mill River/Eagles Glenn before as they approach the Proshop.
- Inform the Proshop of which groups are arriving so the Proshop Attendant also welcome the members or guests, preferably by name.
- Using a tee sheet, anticipate when groups will be arriving to play.
- Provides sincere and courteous service to all guests with items such as bag handling and club cleaning.
- Maintain the cart staging area in a neat and orderly fashion, including the podium and bag drop area.
- Place member and or guest golf clubs on power carts.
- Make every attempt to clean the clubs of a member or guest while the clubs are in the staging area.
- Have a good knowledge of the property and be able to direct individuals to areas such as the front desk, restaurant and washrooms.
- Ensure that returning rental clubs are removed from carts and returned to the Proshop immediately.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
COMPLETION OF SHIFT DUTIES:
- Check with the MOD to see if you can leave the course.
- Confirm that all necessary duties are complete with the MOD.
- Return radio to charger along with all extra supplies.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, talks, or listens. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Regularly lifts 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
ENVIRONMENT/NOISE: Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions including rain and or warm conditions, exposure to sunlight.
